JDS Cycle Tuned Turbo Busa goes 202.49747 mph at Maxton.

Our good customer Walter Kudron just did an official 202.49747 mph during a sanctioned land speed day at Maxton.  Walter came to us with his turbo GSX1300R that he was having tuning issues with.  After many hours on the dyno we got it running perfectly for his debut at Maxton.

This is what Walter had to say:

"What a blast! The most fun I ever had with my clothes on. Lots of waiting on Sat &, I had to get my license, so I had to run 125 mph, then 150, then 175. Had some wheelying issues, ran 185, 186, then got it together. Ran 197, but shut off too soon, then 201, then 202 mph. 9 runs total for the weekend, not the norm, but Hot Rod magazine was hosting a big contest that week. My bike would have gone 210 mph with different gearing, and I knew that going down there, but my goal was to break 200 and learn how to ride it that fast with a minimum of drama. I ran 19/40 gearing, and I am sure with 18/40 to 18/43 it had another 8 mph in there, because I still had some revs to go, and was still accelerating. Next time! Picture of GPS only shows 200 because there is a delay in a GPS speed reading. You shut off after the trap and the GPS hasn't caught up yet. There were guys there with over 50 grand in their bikes and turbos that were claiming double my horsepower that couldn't break 192 mph. Sometimes, it ain't the bike." Walt

Walter went so fast it confused the GPS satellite, it only registered 200 mph on that run.

The official time slip that lists the 202.49747 mph run at Maxton.
